John: If you say that you are using VRRP monitored circuits on both Nokia's then that means that all interfaces on the primary Nokia fail over to the secondary. Your Cisco's on both sides should be pointing to the "Virtual IP" for the interface in question. (i.e. for the external Cisco the route should be pointing to the Virtual IP of the external interface on the Nokia, and for the internal Cisco it should be pointing to the Virtual IP of the internal interface). You do not want to be pointing any of your Cisco's to any of the physical IP's on the Nokia's. In the case of a failover then the secondary will be "routing" for this virtual IP and not the primary. I hope that I have cleared things up a little, if not....you can either send me an email directly or just post another reply to the listserver. The Nokia's are running OSPF with a Cisco on the external network side and also run OSPF with 2 cisco's on the internal network side. During an VRRP switch over to the BACKUP machine I need to automatically shut down routing on the MASTER Nokia. How can I do this? Please help, thanks. -- John Gesualdi The Providence Journal Company PhonePagerCCDP,CCNP ================================================================================ To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================================================ ================================================================================ To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================================================
