Sounds like you haven't specified WINS or browse Master for that adapter ... You're getting TCP/IP traffice properly, but Microsoft Networking, which uses the Netbios names in the Browser list is failing. When I dial up to the network I am successfully authenticated by the firewall. I can ping machines inside the network, but when I run the command "net view" from the DOS prompt I can only see my pc that I have logged on with. When I try to map a drive to Domain Controller it gives me the error msg "Error 53: The computer name specified in the network path cannot be located. Make sure you specify the computer name correctly or try again later when the remote computer is available." I don't know how to get around this, does anybody have any ideas?
