I think your 2nd option won't work. As far as I know one can have only 1 UFP resource for a particular rule. However we have been forced to look at ways to allow Java and ActiveX but still protect the network from malicous code. My boss as dropped "Trend InterScan AppletTrap" which scans for malicous code in Java/JavaScript and ActiveX and drops but passes others. On reading the manual can intregrate it as a UFP server with the firewall or as a standalone proxy server. Current we have User >> Firewall >> UFP Websense >>> Virus Proxy >>> Caching Proxy We are looking at User >> Firewall >> UFP Websense >>> Virus Proxy >>> Applet Proxy >>> Caching Proxy or User >> Firewall >> UFP Websense >>> UFP Applet >>> Virus Proxy >>> Caching Proxy Does anybody on the list have any dealing or views on either method or Trends Applet trap program?
