oops... -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]]On Behalf Of Robert MacDonald Sent: Thursday, September 28, 2000 3:11 PM To: [email protected]; [email protected] Cc: [email protected] Subject: RE: [FW1] Default Gateway Configuration for External andInternalFirewall interfaces Not to mention you should type it correctly :) route add 0.0.0.0 x.x.x.x -p should be route add 0.0.0.0 mask 0.0.0.0 x.x.x.x -p You can use the route command to specify an interface. I was surprised to find out that the last number of the interface name in 'ipconfig /all' output corresponded to the interface # in network properties, and that it doesn't match the # listed in netstat -rn which seem to be sequential. Question. Does specitying the interface just remove the possibility that NT may chose an alternate path if the interface is not specified? Or is there another reason? Thanks, Robert - - Robert P.
