Jason -- would it matter if there was an interface that ran into a hub above a pair of bigIP boxes and then another interface that ran into a hub behind the bigIP's? We are running into licensing problems that I am trying to work with some consultants and Checkpoint on to find the answer and I am grasping for answers!! There is an EPROM variable you can set to force it to use unique addresses, but it really doesn't make any difference, so long as no two interfaces are ever plugged into the same physical network segment.... > John Bumgarner wrote: > > -----Original Message----- > From: John Bumgarner > Sent: Wednesday, January 03, 2001 9:31 AM > To: Majordomo Firewall-1 (E-mail) > Subject: Firewall-1 and Sun Issue > > *** PGP Signature Status: good > *** Signer: John Bumgarner <[email protected]> > *** Signed: 1/3/2001 9:32:29 AM > *** Verified: 1/3/2001 10:01:42 AM > *** BEGIN PGP VERIFIED MESSAGE *** > > To the list, > > I recently installed Version 4.0 on a Sun 220 running Solaris 7. > This was a fresh install of Solaris.
