[FW1] Logswitch on Provider-1

Hi Mikael

are you using Provider-1 2000 on NT or Solaris ? If it is Solaris,
you'll need to make sure your enviroment is set so that you can use FW-1
commands for that specific CMA where you wish to switch the logs
e.g.have the '.cshrc' file set to:

setenv FWDIR /opt/CPmds-41
setenv FWDIR_BASE /opt/CPmds-41
source $FWDIR_BASE/bin/setmdsenv

- drop into the 'csh'

- mdsenv 'CMA_IP_ADDRESS'

from here you can run Firewall-1 Management commands such as 'fw
logswitch', etc Obviously, you just need to script this together for
your nightly switch. This info is 'sort of' documented in Chapter 10
'Multi Domain Server' of the Checkpoint Provider-1 User Guide.

best regards - Andrew
