Not to mention his use of the word "problematic"!! I have been using Checkpoint for 2 years and I agree with many of his points. Heck, I could probably add more problems than he has listed. However, I have never experienced incompetent support! I have had tickets that lasted a couple of months, but I have a SUN ticket that is 4 years old! Does that mean SUN is "problematic"? I agree that this is a very biased opinion. I have never used the PIX, I would have liked to have known some of the features and bugs. I already know what Checkpoint can do. Marc Jacquard SR. Althought I agree with some of the points he made. There is nowhere in the document that he did a real feature to feature comparison. All I read was Checkpoint bashing and never said how the PIX is better. -----Original Message----- From: Jim Brown [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, January 16, 2001 2:19 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [FW1] PIX vs. CheckPoint This document was posted in the Cisco Study group. It was inferred this was an unbiased objective view. I would be interested in this groups comments. http://www.roble.com/docs/fw1_or_pix.html ============================================================================ ==== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ============================================================================ ==== ============================================================================ ==== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ============================================================================ ==== ================================================================================ To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================================================
