Attempting to use IBM AS/400 Client Access Express via internet connection to my AS/400. I can sucessfully use competitive product (Intelleterm) and that product works. Evidently, IBM uses some "high ports" that must be mapped through according to the documentation from IBM. I'm running NAT. I have an automatically created NAT rule for the IP addresses. (Valid IP address NATS to inside address with Service defined as ANY. In the rulebase, I've added SOURCE = ANY , DESTINATION = AS400, SERVICE = "HIGHTCPPORTS", ACCEPT, LONG and SOURCE = ANY, DESTINATION = AS400, SERVICE = TELNET , USERAUTH, LONG I can see the client trying to access via ports 8470, 8472, 8475, etc. The log for the Firewall shows ACCEPT on the client and the ports above. But, client times out... It appears as though the packets are getting to the AS/400, but not returning back out the firewall to client. Does anyone else have/had and solved this problem????
