AW: [FW1] Securemote/Microsoft Proxy Server

Hi Chris,

try the following

*	Install the Microsoft Winsock Proxy Client (a free additional SW
from the Proxy) on the PC which is behind the proxy
*	define a new protocol "SecuRemote" on the Proxy (winsock-proxy
properties), for the ports see "Which Ports Does FireWall-1 Use?" at
phoneboy
*	allow the specific user to connect with protocol securemote on the
Proxy (winsock-proxy properties)
*	change router /firewall policy for the new traffic

Hope that helps

Michael

	Betreff: [FW1] Securemote/Microsoft Proxy Server

	Hi all -

I've looked through the list archives, but all of the messages I've
found
on this subject appear to be a bit dated.

We have a client looking to allow access to an Extranet. All
clients at
their partners will be using Securemote and SecurID cards to provide

	encrypted access and one-time passwords.

A few of their customers have Microsoft Proxy Server installed
between the
net and the client PCs. Is there any way today to use Securemote
through
Microsoft Proxy Server? Alternatively, is there (or has there been
any
announcement to the effect) any way to use the built in PPTP
protocol
within Windows to connect to VPN-1?

The firewall version is VPN-1 4.1 SP3. There are actually two
running
	Fullcluster between them.

	Thanks!

	Chris
