169.254.x.x/16 is a range of ip addresses that are
automatically assigned to clients that are configured to get their addresses
from DHCP but for some reason are unable to do so. These addresses are assigned
to maintain connectivity within the local segment in case of DHCP server
failure. Check to see if your DHCP is functioning properly, and whether it's
address scope is not exhausted.
HTH
Michael.
I am getting a lot of errors in my event log.
Some of them are my internal client machines and then i get this:
169.254.198.103
Any ideas? We have a 250 host license and
we are no where close to running out of licenses.
Thanks
