[FW1] why ndd set duplex type didn't change dmesg output?

Dear all,

I have used ndd command to change the duplex type of my hme1 from half
duplex to full duplex, the result of ndd show me that it is in full duplex
already but the output of dmesg show that it is still in half duplex.
Why???

internetfw# ndd -set /dev/hme instance 1
internetfw# ndd -get /dev/hme link_mode
1
internetfw# ndd -get /dev/hme link_speed
1

internetfw# dmesg | grep duplex
SUNW,hme1: 100 Mbps half-duplex Link Up
SUNW,hme0: 10 Mbps half-duplex Link Up

SolarisNIC ??

Hi Uczekaj-Tom,
I'm sorry . I've messed up everything here. the correct answer is
ndd -set /dev/hme instance #
before #ndd -get /dev/hme ...
