[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] [FW1] 8 ips per iface is not enough
Hi, the service packs SP3 and SP4, at least for nokia, reduce the limit of ips to 8 per iface. This is not enough when you work with enterprise enviroments, vrrp ips, and a load-sharing configuration between some firewalls. The resolution #5239 from Nokia sounds like a joke because there is not notification in theirs Relases Notes and affect to a production systems. Investigating the two messages "Not all ip addresses installed" and "Can only handle 8 ip addresses per interface" in the SP4 files, the module fwmod.o mantains both. Like with other issues of memory buffers, I understand that it's possible to use modzap to change the variable (symbol) which maints it. Seing in binary file there some one subsceptible to change. Any body knows which exactly? Is there any document explaining all the exported?
