Title: RE: [FW1] Truncated columns in log viewer (4.0 build 4303 on Windows NT 4.0 SP4)
The problem occurs only when SP8 is applied. Removing SP8 restores proper
logging (the base FW1 installation is build 4031).
Curiously, I can temporarily work around the bug by doing an "fw logswitch",
"fwstop", "del %FWDIR%\logs\fw.?log*", and "fwstart". There will be two
control connections (logswitch followed by fwstop?), a few lines that
are correctly logged (e.g. AIM reconnecting to AOL, or the NTP servers
re-acquiring their time sources), and then a *third* control connection,
after which a logging is broken, as described.
Have I been rooted? But without SP8 everything is fine.

This was a problem with 4.0 and some early levels of 4.1. I haven't seen it
on 4.1 SP3.
