[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] RE: [FW1] FW: Stonebeat problem
Title: Message You
probably need to add a CAM entry into your switch that binds the two ports
together.
You
also want to make sure you have a static arp entry for your IP address that
binds to
the
MAC multicast. Also make sure that you have a sub interface defined on
each firewall
that
contains the virtual IP address and configure it as the
VIP. Could you post the node.conf
file?
We might be able to better help you. And please change the IP addresses for
confidentiality.
Cheers.
George
Tell me have you had the problem
when one real ( x.x.x .2) interface
responds to pings but the ( x.x.x .3)other
not.
When fwstop\fwstart the
roles reverse.
on server X
sbif7: x.x.x .2
sbif7:1 x.x.x .1
on server Y
sbif7: x.x.x .3
sbif7:1 x.x.x .1
The x.x.x .1 virtual interfaces reponds to pings all the
time.
I have set up a multicast group
for 2 real interfaces which were set to multicast mac address
01-00-5e-00-07-01 (sbif7)
I am not sure if there should be a
multicast group on the two interfaces? Is this
correct?

do you tink could be wrong?
Thanx
