Re: [FW-1] 4.1 SP5 Hotfix Problem FW-1:putlic failed
Title: RE: [FW-1] 4.1 SP5 Hotfix Problem FW-1:putlic failed
When you unzip the hotfix file, it unzips with permissions 0644 (rw-r--r--). Ensure that you've given the new fw file execute permissions (in SP5, permissions are 0755; previous versions were 0770). Try (if you haven't already) "chmod 755 fw" from $FWDIR/bin. If this fails, you could insert "debug" (echo) commands into the fwstart script to determine exactly where it is failing.

Subject: [FW-1] 4.1 SP5 Hotfix Problem FW-1:putlic failed
I have a pair of IP440s with 4.1SP5 I have put the
hotfix on one box, no problem (replaced the fw and
fwmod.o . On the other after I put the new fw and
fwmod.o from the same location that the other files
are located on, I get
permission denied when I do fwstart.
It says fw1: putlic failed.
I've re-downloaded the files several time replaced,
copied, moved etc. Nothing. Checked the files for
permissions and size etc. When I put the old files
back in place it will fwstart no problem. Anyone have
any ideas?
Thanks
Cgh
