Re: [FW-1] FTP problem

Title: FTP problem
Remember ftp is port 21 and ftp-data is port 20.   If this were my issue i would sniff both sides of my fw to verify that the session for port 20 is being built properly.  if you see it on one interface or the other you know where the problem lies.  if you dont see it at all then you know its the server.  there are many other ways to trouble shoot this but sniffing the wire is a quick way for me to find out if the traffic is being dropped or not.  Hope this helps.

Subject: [FW-1] FTP problem

Hi,

I'm trying to setup an FTP server on my DMZ. I have setup an FTP free softwar for NT (WarFTP or GuildFTPd) and all works locally. When I try to access the FTP server from the outside, I can logon it but I can't perform an "ls -l" "GET" or "PUT" commands. The session freez without informations !

On my FireWall logs, all seems to be OK. I can see an Ftp Accept from Outside to MyFtpServer.

Any idees ?

Cordially,
emmanuel.
