I never add the license from within cpconfig, in the License Email you
have received from Checkpoint there should be a an "fw putlic" line
cut/paste to the command line and the license will be installed.
Every time I do a FW-1 installation, adding the license
is a real pain in
the .... you know.
Now I got this strange error when trying to add the license string obtain
from Check Point. This is what I do to add the license for version
4.1:
# cpconfig
Select menu item 1.
Host: ..xxx.xxx
Date: never
String: hexcode-hexcode-hexcode
Feature: vpndes encul vpndes ca
CheckDataSign: Can't find public key (index=6 version=6)
Failed to add license: License invalid.
It seems like the key I got from Check Point is not valid. What now???
