:: Okay, we have a new boss how loves Cisco and he thinks it is the answer :: to all. So, he has already ruled that all Site-to-Site VPNs are to be :: replace with Cisco gear. Now he is asking about the client side of :: Checkpoint. A friend of mine that works in a Company managing 25 active FW-1 modules (plus 25 hot spares) obviously loves FW-1 for firewalling. However, he has Cisco VPN 3000's to serve client-side VPN's and loves them, too. Mainly because of the client support that CheckPoint just doesn't seem to offer. :: up on Cisco products to much, but I hear that you can use Microsoft's :: IPSEC client to connect to a Cisco VPN device instead of using the Cisco :: client. I think this is the main reason he wants to use Cisco. Can you :: use Windows 2K to connect to Checkpoint or do I have to use the :: Checkpoint Client? I know you can use a Windows IPSEC client to connect to a Nokia appliance (it's just FreeBSD, afterall), just as you can use it to connect to a native FreeBSD box. I'm not sure how it works connecting to FW modules running on other OS's, however (like Solaris, or even Windows).
