Among others things to check, I would check the network cards on your Solaris server. Particularly, the number of connection failures. If the NICs are absolutely "clean", then blame on Firewall software. Also, put the Analyzer on your NT client segment and monitor the traffic. It's possible you have bad client's NIC or cable that saturates the network with corrupted packets. ********************************** Roman Zeltser, @National Computer Center, RSIS & DNE -----Original Message----- From: meryan [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, January 25, 2002 9:44 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [FW-1] NT problems Hi, We are experiencing some problems in our connections between NT clients and NT server through the firewall (Solaris FW-1 v4.1). These problems include random connection failures, random authentication failures and slowness of the comunication. The rule applied for the case is an any to any accept rule, and we already tested the connections from the same network segment the NT is installed and they go ok. That's why we are thinking that perhaps we are having a problem in the tunning of the firewall's parameters. Has anyone experienced similar problems?, any advice will be very helpful, thanks, Meryan ================================================= To set vacation, Out Of Office, or away messages, send an email to [email protected] in the BODY of the email add: set fw-1-mailinglist nomail ================================================= To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================= If you have any questions on how to change your subscription options, email [email protected] ================================================= ================================================= To set vacation, Out Of Office, or away messages, send an email to [email protected] in the BODY of the email add: set fw-1-mailinglist nomail ================================================= To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================= If you have any questions on how to change your subscription options, email [email protected] =================================================
