Try this -
the PC’s network connection
to the internet …you must uninstall the Qos component found in the networking tab
of the profile, and make sure that the internet connection firewall is
unchecked. Then it should work. Jay -----Original
Message----- I
am having a problem with using the latest release of VPN client (4199)
for FW 4.1 (supposedly supports Win2k and XP) Basically
after installing the VPN client I can successfully authenticate against
the FW... however when trying to make contact with any internal
network host (ICMP for example) I get nothing!! According to
the logs on the FW no packets are being dropped... and the last know
communication in the logs, was the validation of my logon credentials... After
thinking that it might of been an XP issue I loaded SP1 and ensured that the
machine could communicate on its local network etc, and that the inbuilt
firewall (it really shouldn't be called that...anyhow that's another matter)
wasn't blocking any communications.. After reloading the VPN client, I
could NOT successfully authenticate... and I was
also prevented from making any network communications on the
local LAN... After Killing the VPN client I could
resume LAN communications..... So from that it looks like the client
might not work on XP as stated or this could of been compounded by me
loading SP1???? FYI:
I also did this on another Windows 2000 machine... and am yet to
see the same problem. Very
confused.... Any help would be greatly appreciated Cheers, Lyndon.
