Hi list Sorry if this is a trivial question, but I noticed recently that the VRRP broadcasts being sent out by our Nokia cluster are travelling the length and breadth of our network. I know that every interface on which VRRP is set up has to advertise itself, but since the VRRP-interfaces of both Nokias are directly connected with a dedicated cable anyway, I don't see why I should see the packets travel everywhere. I thought of blocking packets to 224.0.0.18, but that wouldn't be very wise, it would break my VRRP functionality, right? Any ideas appreciated Cheers Ralf G. ================================================= To set vacation, Out-Of-Office, or away messages, send an email to [email protected] in the BODY of the email add: set fw-1-mailinglist nomail ================================================= To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================= If you have any questions on how to change your subscription options, email [email protected] =================================================
